November saw a huge coup for the Bred For Success team with the acquisition of its very first Broodmare, the aptly named Rock Success.

In what promises to be an exciting ride for clients, Rock Success came as a “3-in-1” package with a Spieth foal on the ground with his mother whilst she is also in foal to Strasbourg.

Last weekend Bred For Success Racing and Operations Manager Cameron Evans was able to visit Stonehouse Thoroughbreds to see how both mum and foal have settled into their new home.

“It was great to get down to Stonehouse and see how they have settled in after a week or so. We bought them from Three Bridges which is a good farm just down the road, so it worked out well,” said Cameron.

“Apparently Rock Success can be a bit hard to handle but Ryan has put her in a good paddock with some other horses and she seems a happy horse now.”

For Bred For Success, it is a privilege to be able to team up with a farm like Stonehouse Thoroughbreds who home and sales prepare for some of the biggest names in racing.

Stonehouse is run by Ryan Arnel and in just a few short years has established itself as a leading player in the Melbourne sales ring.

“It’s been a long hard breeding season and it was supposed to be Ryan’s first day off but he came in to show me around so I am grateful,” explained Cameron.

”I was very impressed with the farm and the facilities in particular the foaling and weaning areas. You can tell that Ryan is passionate and throwing everything into the farm. You know our investment is in good hands”.

After the visit we are even more excited for what the next few years holds for Rock Success and her foals.

We are currently putting together the Rock Success broodmare syndicate. If you are interested please do not hesitate to contact us at info@bredforsuccess.com.au
