Unfortunately like so often in life, it is the women we forget. When it comes to horses and breeding, it is no different.

While the horse sale market is all about glossy brochures about the latest stallions, one, if not the most important key ingredient is the stallion of the mare.

At Bred For Success this is one of the most important things that we look at when selecting our horses.

Our Impending filly Doublesharkattack dam is by Fastnet Rock, currently 3rd in the Australian broodmare table and at 19, the youngest stallion in the list. He continues to make his stamp in the top 50 globally.

Meanwhile our Overshare filly First Class Molley has some real exciting broodmare lines.

Her dam is by Mineshaft (pictured in the middle) who raced in England and France before being a Horse of the Year in the USA. This year in North America he is sitting 56th as a broodmare sire with 3 stakeswinners from just 7 horses, sitting one place ahead of the legendary Dubawi.

Her grandsire is the legendary AP Indy (pictured left), another American Horse of the Year. This year he sits with in 7th on the broodmare table with a devastating 10 group winners, 4 at group 1 level, $24 million USD in prizemoney and only the likes of Deep Impact, Gaileo and Sunday Silence to chase down.

The stats don't lie- it pays to consider the whole page.
